Selectmen’s Meeting
April 21, 2026
Present: Jonathan Shomody, Chet Bowles, Joel Patterson
Call to order by Jonathon Shomody at 5:31 pm
Motion to approve the 4/7/2026 minutes (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 4/21/2026 payroll and manifest (Bowles/Patterson). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the yield tax warrant for Dugdale, Map 4 Lot 4 (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to authorize the Tax Collector to research properties that are going into tax lien or tax deed for mortgage holders (Shomody/Bowles). All in favor, motion carried.
Reviewed an intent to construct for Noah Olson, Map 6 Lot 21. Motion to approve the intent to construct for Noah Olson, Map 6 Lot 21 (Shomody/Patterson), All in favor, motion carried.
Harris Construction: Reviewed an intent to excavate for 2026-2027. Bowles spoke to the attorneys about this. Motion to deny the 2026-2027 intent to excavate submitted by Harris Construction based upon advice from Counsel that the requirements of 155E are not met, nor is there an approved Alteration of Terrain (AoT) from the NH-DES for the property (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Margary Margolis presented a petition to make Swamp Road a scenic road. The Board acknowledged receipt of the petition.
Karen Dufresne, Tax Collector, told the Board that the 2026 1st property tax warrant is due May 15, 2026.
Chet Bowles:
- Received a call to bring attention to a property on Temple Road that may not meet standards for residency, and there may be marijuana being grown on this property for personal use. Neighbors feel intimidated by the residents. Bowles will contact Police Chief Guinard about the marijuana.
