Selectmen’s Meeting
March 17, 2026
Present: Jonathan Shomody, Chet Bowles, Joel Patterson
Call to order by Jonathon Shomody at 5:31 pm
Motion to nominate Jonathon Shomody as Chair of the Select Board (Bowles/Patterson). All in favor, motion carried.
Ex-officio to the Planning Board – Jonathon Shomody
Representative to the Conval Selectmen’s Advisory Committee (SAC) – Chet Bowles
Motion to appoint Rich Dufresne as Cemetery Supervisor (Shomody/Patterson). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 3/3/2026 minutes (Bowles/Shomody). Two in favor, Patterson abstained, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 3/17/2026 payroll and manifest (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 2026 MS-232 (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried, and the MS-232 was signed.
Shomody signed the 2025-2026 contract with the Jaffrey Library.
Discussion about a possible violation of the special exception for the Sharon Center. Bowles will set up a meeting with the owner.
Mr. Shomody:
- Larry Gardenour has offered to help with the mold on the ceiling of the large meeting room.
- A resident of the town has asked about the interest rates for the Forest Fund and the Conservation Fund.
Anne Booth asked what court the Harris Construction suit is in – Shomody stated it is in the NH Superior Court North.
Gina Goff told the Board that she has written a second book on Sharon, NH. Copies will be donated to the Archives, the Jaffrey Library and the Historical Society in Concord.
