Selectmen’s Meeting
September 16, 2025

Present: Rich Dufresne, Jonathan Shomody

Call to order by Rich Dufresne at 5:30 pm

Motion to approve the minutes of 8/26/2025 (Shomdy/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.

Motion to approve the 9/16/2025 payroll and manifest (Dufresne/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.

Signed an amendment to the assessing agreement with Avitar Associates.

The Town Administrator informed the Board that the River Center in Peterborough, NH has sent a request to be considered for a $500.00 appropriation from the Town of Sharon in 2026. This will be added to the 2026 budget discussions.

Signed the request for a transfer of funds from the Wilson II Fund for additional work that had been done on the School House. This request had been approved at the 8/26/2025 meeting.

Reviewed an email from Diane Gardenour regarding sound proofing that was going to the recycling center. The Board approved of Mrs. Gardenour using this material.

Signed the 2025 MS-1 Inventory of Taxable Property for the State of NH.

The Board thanked Ken Callahan and Jeff Osgood for taking items to the recycling center.

Mr. Dufresne:
Followed up a citizens complaint about someone trespassing on their property. The Police had asked if the tax map is on-line. There was discussion about making the tax map available, Rory Goff, the Webmaster will be asked if this is possible.
The South Cemetery clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, 9/20/2025, from 9 am to 11:30 am. The Sharon in Sharon group is coordinating a get together at the Meeting House after the clean-up.

Ken Callahan:
Thanked the Board for having Marissa Nourse clean the School House.

Jeff Osgood:
The Planning Board is proposing changes to the Zoning Ordinance. Requested permission to forward the proposed changes to the Town Attorney for review before holding a public hearing. The Board approved.
The Planning Board needs alternate members.

Diane Callahan:
Asked if there is a sign ordinance, the answer is yes. Mentioned signs at The Sharon Center, it was determined that the signs in question are “For Lease” signs. These are considered temporary and are allowed.
