Available in print and online, the new map charts nearly 100 miles of rail trails in southern New Hampshire and neighboring communities in Vermont and Massachusetts, according to a news release from the Southwest Region Planning Commission, one of the organizations involved in the effort.
The map offers detailed route information, access points and information on parking, distances and trail surface conditions.
The trails included are the Monadnock Rail Trail, Cheshire Rail Trail, Ashuelot Rail Trail, Charles Buffler Memorial Trail, Hillsborough Rail Trail, the Old Dublin Road to Eaton Road Rail Trail, Jaquith Rail Trail, Eastview Rail Trail, Hancock Rail Trail, Old Railroad Trail, Greenville Rail Trail and Mason Railroad Trail. A detailed map of Keene is also included.
The map is available online at www.swrpc.org/rail-trail-map. Physical copies are available to pick up in Keene at Norm’s Ski and Bike Shop, Alpine Bike Works and the Greater Monadnock Collaborative regional chamber of commerce.
