Selectmen’s Meeting
March 3, 2026
Present: Rich Dufresne, Jonathan Shomody, Chet Bowles
Call to order by Rich Dufresne at 5:46 pm
Motion to approve the 2/17/2026 minutes (Dufresne/Bowles). All in favor, motion carried.
Discussion of who will present warrant articles for the 2026 town meeting. Warrant articles #3, #4, #5, and #6 – Deb; warrant article #7 – Chet; warrant article #8 – Jonathan; warrant article #9 – Rich.
Southwest Region Planning Commission (SWRPC) has invited the Select Board members to attend a regional meeting. The Board members will consider attending.
Harris Construction: Harris appealed the cease and desist orders to the courts. The court date was on 3/2/2026. Harris has asked that the cease and desist orders be vacated. The Board is waiting for the response from the Judge.
The Board reviewed the letter sent to Dorothy Chapman regarding the decision on a home business.
Bowles informed the Board that the Conval Selectmen’s Advisory Committee had reviewed the Conval warrant.
The Town Administrator spoke to the Board about allowing the Town Clerk to bring her dogs into the office. Motion to allow Diane Mitchell to bring her dogs into the office during office hours with the stipulation they stay in the Town Clerk’s office (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.
Karen Shea Dufresne, Tax Collector, informed the Board that the tax lien will be executed on Thursday, 3/5/2026. There are 2 landowners being liened.
