Selectmen’s Meeting
December 16, 2025
Present: Rich Dufresne, Jonathan Shomody, Chet Bowles
Call to order by Rich Dufresne at 5:30 pm
Motion to approve the minutes of 11/18/2025 (Shomody/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried. Motion to approve the minutes of 12/1/2025 (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve 12/16/2025 payroll and manifest (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve a request for a transfer from the Legal Trust Fund (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.
Signed a timber tax warrant for Van Blarcom. Signed and intent to cut for Dugdale.
Approved the Avitar letter for the 2026 data verification.
Rory Goff is proposing a program that would remove some of the steps and allow notices and announcements to be posted and emailed simultaneously. This would also allow officials besides the Webmaster and Town Administrator to send out notices. The Board approved the use of this program on a trial basis.
Michelle Krook submitted a revised driveway permit application and plan based upon the Road Agent recommendations. The Road Agent will review this and give a final decision on the application.
Harris Construction – letter sent to Harris and a response has been received. Harris has not changed its position about being exempt. The Board will have more discussions with the attorneys.
Sandy Eneguess:
- Nashua Road sign was pulled down, new signs have been ordered. A stop sign was demolished and replaced.
Discussion about the meeting with the DRA and Avitar. Reviewed the information to be discussed and set the expectation that this is not an opportunity to dispute individual tax bills, this meeting is to understand the process of setting tax rates.
