Selectmen’s Meeting
June 24, 2025
Present: Rich Dufresne, Jonathan Shomody, Chet Bowles
Call to order by Rich Dufresne at 5:30 pm
George Carmichael, EMD, and Rory Goff, Webmaster, to discuss moving the website to the .gov address and switching emails to .gov email addresses. Goff spoke about setting up email addresses with .gov and also setting up “alias emails”. Discussion about who would need .gov emails. Motion to convert from .org to .gov and have the Town Administrator and Webmaster work on email addresses with the understanding that 13 email addresses will be the maximum (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Todd Horner, Southwest Region Planning Commission (SWRPC) Executive Director introduced himself and spoke about the role of the SWRPC. Horner explained that each town is allowed to have 2 Commissioners, who are the governing body of the SWRPC. Commissioners meet 3 times per year, with a 4 year term. Nomination is put forward by the Planning Board and confirmed by the Select Board. There was discussion about how the SWRPC works with the towns.
Motion to approve the minutes of 5/20/2025 (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 6/24/2025 payroll and manifest (Dufresne/Bowles). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve applications for payments to the trust funds for money approved at the 2025 town meeting (Dufresne/Bowles). All in favor, motion carried.
Reviewed an intent to construct from Grosbeck, the Board requested that the Site Inspector, Pierre Groleau, look at the set backs.
Sandy Eneguess:
Junk dumped on South Road, protocol is to take junk dumped on the roads to the recycling center in Peterborough. In this situation the junk has been dumped on private property and is not in the town right of way. It is about 35 to 40 in on the property. The Board discussed sending a letter to the landowner and contacting the Police to determine the best way to deal with this issue.
The Board approved the Town Clerk getting Avitar into the office to demonstrate their motor vehicle program.
Karen Dufresne:
Taxes are due 7/1/2025. Approximately $300,000 was posted today, and there are 109 invoices left to be paid. There is approximately $380,000 total outstanding, including liens.
The 2024 audit is set for 8/9/2025.

Restoration on the School House bricks has been started.
