Reminder of special Select Board Meeting
The Select Board will hold a special meeting this Thursday (January 29, 2026) at 6:00 PM with our School Board Representative, Jim Fredrickson. Jim serves as Chairman of the School Board’s Budget & Property Committee.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide Sharon residents with helpful information so as to better understand recent ConVal operating cost increases, how the District Tax Assessment was apportioned, and the impact these and other changes had on property taxes across the District in general and the specific impact on Sharon’s school portion of
the most recent tax bills.
This primary focus of this meeting will be on the specifics associated with your recent property tax bills. It is not intended to be a debate on the viability or value of public education in general.
